Let’s get you settled in.
Your Mac, meet Duo.
Download. Make yourself at home. Add your license.
DMG · Version 0.2.1 (build 6)
Adds license Paste and Show/Hide controls, standard editing shortcuts, and Screen Recording checks and recovery.
The illustrated preview is free. Live effects require an activated license.
Move in.
Open the DMG, drag Duo into Applications, then open Duo from Applications. Eject the Duo Preview disk when you’re done.
Find your key.
If you purchased, check your Polar confirmation email or open your customer portal using the same email you paid with. Your Duo license is there. Please keep the full key private.
Make it yours.
In Duo, open License, click Paste (or press ⌘V), and use Show to check your key before activating this Mac. Then enable desktop effects in General and follow the macOS Screen Recording prompt. One license activates up to two Macs.
macOS says “Duo Not Opened”?
Only continue if you trust this download. Dismiss the alert, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security. If an Open Anyway option appears for Duo, use it and confirm the app-specific prompt. Developer Tools is not the setting for this. See Apple’s instructions. Never disable Gatekeeper globally.
Paid, but no license yet?
Allow a few minutes for payment processing, check your spam folder, and sign in to Polar with your purchase email. This download page does not confirm your payment status; your Polar order does. Don’t purchase a second time to retry delivery. Contact billing@igotduo.com with your order number, never your full license key or card details.
Screen Recording is on, but Duo still cannot connect?
Quit Duo before replacing an older build in Applications. Open the updated copy from Applications, not the mounted DMG. In General → Screen Recording, choose Check again. If macOS refuses access despite an enabled toggle, quit and reopen Duo. If needed, turn permission off and on for the installed Duo copy in System Settings, then quit and reopen again. Preview builds use ad-hoc signing, so macOS may require permission again after an update. Duo cannot grant this permission for you.
Just exploring? Try the illustrated preview first. Buy a license when you’re ready.
